Baby Bastian's Newborn Session

Logan and Bobby have been friends since they were teens and their friendship has carried through the years. I have grown my own friendship with his wife Nicci since Bobby and I starting dating back in 2011. About 4 years ago Nicci and Logan made a life changing decision to do only what most dream of doing and sold almost everything they had to move to New Zealand where his family currently lives. They spent 3 beautiful years exploring, working and spending time with family while they were there. With the ever changing state of the world these days and legalities of being able to continue to live over seas, this past spring they made another decision to come home to the states and back to Virginia. We were happy to offer them a place to stay while they transitioned back to the states. The day they arrived was such a happy and exciting day to finally be able to hug our friends again. We arrived home to get them settled in from a 23 hour long travel. As we caught up, little did we know that they had been keeping a beautiful secret. Nicci and Logan wanted to go through and check on a piece of luggage that had some of their things that were breakable. As they sifted through the luggage Logan speaks up and says "so should we go ahead and tell them". Bobby and I looked at each other confused as to what was going on. Nicci picked up a willow tree figure of a mom and dad holding a baby and stated "this has become a little bit more meaningful to us these days." I knew instantly and starting crying tears of joy that they were expecting. It has been so beautiful to walk through this new journey of life with them. I have felt honored that they wanted me document their maternity session and newborns of baby Bastian.

He is absolutely the cutest ever. I'll be honest I've definitely gotten a bit of baby fever since doing his newborns, but I won't complain it's nice to get in the baby snuggles with this little guy. He was the perfect subject to try my new newborn set up out. I am so in love with his session. Sorry not Sorry for the over share from his Newborn Session.
